I don’t know about you, but this spring weather is bringing out the crafty side of me. I love Do-It Yourself (DIY) projects, and find them a great compliment to organizing.  I’m often finding new uses for old items, and unusual purposes for everyday things.

For today’s project, I’ve turned an old window into a place to display treasures. Check out what I came up with and consider what you have laying around that you could transform or upcycle as a way to display your treasures!  Remember that organizing isn’t always about getting rid of things–it can also be a way to give life to otherwise forgotten items.1. Jewelry display.  Add cup hooks to the top of each quadrant and hang necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.

2. Picture Frame. Hot glue clothes pins or magnet clips to the glass panes.  Pictures can be arranged and updated however you’d like.  You can also run twine across the frame and hang pictures from that, clothesline style.

3. Recipe Stand.  Clip your recipes to this on the kitchen wall to keep in eye-sight, but off messy counters when you’re cooking.
I’d love to hear what you’ve discovered, rescued, and up-cycled in your home this week.  Let me know what you’ve been up to!
