Today I’m sharing with you a quick tip to free up some space in your bedroom. This is a simple rule that, when implemented, transforms your bedroom from a dumping into your serene sanctuary. I get push back about this particular rule in NYC, where rooms often need to serve several functions, but trust me on this one.
Organizing Shortcut #2:
Make a rule that no papers (or anything not strictly bedroom-related) are allowed in the bedroom.
Tip: As you’re removing papers, shopping bags, household clutter, and anything else that doesn’t REALLY belong in the bedroom, ask yourself why they landed here in your bedroom. How is that realization helpful to you moving forward as you re-imagine this space? Now that you’re reclaiming this room and allowing only what is strictly needed in the bedroom, you’ll be forced to be more intentional about where these miscellaneous items land.
Finding that your bedroom is need of more than a simple purge or unsure of where to put the items you’ve removed ? Email me for a free consultation!
